Review:
If you want to read one of the cutest graphic novels, then pick this up at once! It’s the perfect time of the year to do so. This is probably my favorite graphic novel to date, even though I’ve given other graphic novels five stars. I know it makes little sense but hear me out.
I commend Deja for her motivating escapades to help Josiah have a better last night at the pumpkin patch. I could tell that he isn’t easily pleased. He wants everything to be perfect and how they should be—afraid to take risks.
I also understand where Josiah is coming from. I am an introvert who likes to play by the rules; I’m not a risk taker. I often hold myself back. It’s easy to leave things alone. There is nothing wrong with that.
Josiah is a sweetheart, and the girl he had a crush on should have given him a chance. She was such a brat! I wasn’t expecting her to be that way.
I was happy with the ending, but I found it to be very abrupt. The ending was sweet, but I almost didn’t want it to happen. It seemed very forced, which is why I dropped it down a star.
Overall, I loved the characters and their witty banter. I loved how cute and festive the art was. This made me want to visit a pumpkin patch immediately. I wasn’t a fan of the ending, but it’s still a great read. I would buy it and read it again in a heartbeat.
