My Favorite Books of 2018!

I love this part of the year because I get to learn about everyone’s favorite books! I tend to add a lot to my never ending TBR pile.

I have a few five star reads as well as quite a few honorable mentions. These are in no particular order. I could never choose just one favorite!

  1. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  3. The Names They Gave Us by Emery Lord ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  4. A Sucky Love Story: Overcoming Unhappily Ever After by Brittani Louise Taylor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  5. Letter 44 Vol 3 (Graphic Novel) by Charles Soule ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Those are the only novels I gave a solid five star rating to. They were the best novels I read all year and I’m sad there aren’t more. There are, however, many books with a 4-4.75 that I would like to also mention.

  1. Every Single Secret by Emily Carpenter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  2. The Narrow Road to the Deep North by Richard Flanagan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  3. Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  4. The Boy at the Door by Alex Dahl ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  5. Love and Ruin by Paula McLain ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  6. Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  7. The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  8. The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  9. The Hobbit / The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4
  10. Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  11. The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2

I have recently joined the book community and I am enjoying it. I will be reviewing books on this blog as well as posting other bookish related posts. Most of the books I read are Young Adult but I'll try to read any genre. Let me know your opinions, but be respectful of others. Don't forget to tell people about this blog if you enjoy it!

  1. Love your list! And The Hobbit is such a fantastic book! Deserves a mention in anyone’s top books list, I think. I think my favourite book of 2018 was The Night Circus, definitely!

      1. I have so many books I feel that way about! Maybe because of the hype… or just not being in the mood… not everyone liked Night Circus, it kind of divided the crowd! Hopefully you’ll enjoy it when you get to it 🙂
