Holiday Drinks Book Tag!

I first found this tag on → The Bibliophagist

1. Hot Chocolate: Marshmallows and chocolate and whipped cream, oh my! Recommend a book that’s sweet through and through.

I don’t read a ton of books that are sweet through and through. I think that Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire fits this drink. No pun intended but also pun intended.

2. Peppermint Mocha: The flavor of peppermint is strong and distinct. Recommend a book with a lot of strong emotions.

I could choose Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, but I think I will switch it up and say The Names They Gave Us by Emery Lord. I don’t rave about that book enough. I don’t read a lot of young adult books, but that one was very hard hitting.

3. Apple Cider: It’s so good it can’t be good for you, but it’s from apples—that means it’s healthy, right? Recommend a book full of characters with questionable morals.R

The Narrow Road to the Deep North by Richard Flanagan fits this category. This book is chock-full of characters with questionable morals considering it is about a prisoner of war camp. I recommend it if you are thinking about picking it up.

4. Eggnog: It’s creamy and smooth, with a little spice, and some people even add alcohol to it. Recommend a book that’s mostly fun, with just a hint of danger.

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. This book is hilarious, and such a blast to follow along. They are thieves, so there is quite a bit of danger involved.

5. Gingerbread Latte: A drink with a veritable explosion of spices. Recommend a book with a lot of action.

Caged by Ellison Cooper. It is about an FBI neuroscientist, so I think that’s all you need to know.

I’m not going to tag anyone, but the more, the merrier!

I have recently joined the book community and I am enjoying it. I will be reviewing books on this blog as well as posting other bookish related posts. Most of the books I read are Young Adult but I'll try to read any genre. Let me know your opinions, but be respectful of others. Don't forget to tell people about this blog if you enjoy it!
