I don’t read a specific genre all the time because it is too much fun not to. I have not read a lot and you all have probably heard of these a thousand times now, but I don’t really care. They are my favorite books for a reason, right? I feel like I have the right to gush about them over and over.
These are not in any specific order. That would be hard to do.
- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
- Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
- An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I’m also thinking that once I finish All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr it will make it on this list. I’m going to go ahead and put it on here as a runner-up for now. Once I update this list in the future, which I know I will, I will add it to it.
All of these books have different styles of writing, and storytelling. There is a journey that you go on with all of the characters. I understand that these are not everyone’s taste in books, but you will take something from them. They all have depth to them which I need in books otherwise I get bored. If you haven’t read any of these, just go ahead and pick one up. I promise it will be great!
